Well, my thoughts:
The wheels are nice.

If you are going to do an SS version, then it should be done right. We all know that historically the 'SS cars were attractive coupes and a couple of sedans with potent v8s. SS cars also featured smaller engines with less power. If Chevrolet is really interested in bolstering this "SS" model, then perhaps it should feature their powerful turbo 4 with an aggressive exhaust.

I don't see the point in making an ev "SS" variant. Even if it is quick; The model could easily be called something else.

This is not your grandfather's GM. It's all out the window.

You missed the part where it's all electric.

Well...part of me is excited to see this! The other part of me is sad that it will be electric only and we are not yet at a point where we are ready to go all electric, so I don't see this one in my future for a good while.

But...being an SS, we know this thing is going to be quick. We should assume it will be just as quick as the Mach-E GT or GT-Performance version.

If it has anything near, or besting, the Mach-E GT's 480hp/600tq, it'll perform head and shoulders above the current 308hp/270tq on tap.

Lol.............gotcha.

Looking back, the original blazers, based on the S10 smaller platform, were almost begging for an 'SS version in the late '80s and '90s. Of course that dream was answered in the millenium around '06, but it was short lived. The last Blazer SS (aka TrailBlazer SS) was true to form. It had a great exhaust, good looks, and one hell of an engine.

I just feel that the theme will be lost with this upcoming variant. Perhaps this new Blazer should be called ....eh....E-Blazer or Blazer Mach.....or you get it..........something in line with its power. If they are killing off IC engines (not really........silvie, tahoe, Suburbs and Escalades are carrying the company), then the past visages need to die with it.

It’s GM. Of course it won’t come close to the Mach E GT.

I have a different feeling on this one. I don't think GM is going to screw up the SS nameplate yet again. I think it will be at least comparable to the Mach-E GT. It had better be.

They'll get folks excited about this only to price out of reach for many. That's the strategy it seems right now.

Right?! And it's all over the industry. I understand the use of the highest trim first, as a halo type draw. But, if you're going to do that also debut the lowest trim too. Then fill-in the line up as the product is launched.

Look at how much buzz came from something like the Maverick's low starting MSRP (too bad every dealer is adding AMV to everything). That seemed to work well. But some will say that, from a marketing standpoint, appealing to the lower end of the buyer pool is a bad look too.

Since this is more along a whole new line of EV's, then just drop the "SS" and go with all new package names... 'XS', 'ZS', or something. You can't say we are developing all new EV stuff, then keep naming it all the old names. Pick one and stop confusing those people that know what the old names are tied to.
