Just got mine back after 5 weeks. Some things to check on (faint tinny tick under throttle acceleration for example) but biggest thing will be getting used to the feel of my new tilton twin plate clutch.

My dealer has opened an technical investigation with GM about this issue and we’ll see where it goes. They agree we need to understand the root cause of these failures and are willing to push it. They are also working with GM to extend my warranty for this specific issue.

We need to understand what’s going on with these pumps.

Feels more “laggy”...
Did you get any response on this or did the ECU relearn over time? Just got mine back today and also felt "laggy" to me. Best way to describe it, just seemed like it took a while fir the power surge to come on.

Picked the car up today and stoked to have it back. Opened a case with GM to extend the drivetrain warranty for the oil pump and any potential unrealized damage that may have been caused by the oil pump failure. Should have a response from them by COB Friday. Also plan to have the oil analyzed after 500 miles and add anything abnormal to the warranty case.

The issue was a pain, but the dealer was great and I’ve had much worse experiences with other Manufacturer’s.

Something this experience has solidified for me is dealers has a great deal of latitude with warranty work.

Lucky for you and I am happy you had a positive experience with your dealer. I need to open a case with GM about how my warranty work was poorly handled via the dealer.

On the bright side, while the new engine initially felt a little "laggy", I am happy to report after putting ~250 miles on it, feels as though it is opening up and I am getting back the throttle input responses I was used to previously

Been offline for a minute.
Doesn’t feel as laggy as before although, driven less than 20 miles since return.

Maybe the ecu is relearning, like everything else in the car.

Track mode, exhaust doesn’t sound gargly but plan to put some miles on before week end.

For both Les7311 & ddb143 - have you guys ensured your coolants levels are correct? While I had a great experience with my dealer / tech my system coolant and SC coolant levels were low. I topped levels off last night and realized the electric fan was running continuously, so I bled the SC coolant and the electric fan tuned off 1/2 way through the procedure. 100 degree day today in Alabama, but the car definitely feels more spunky.

Just a thought.... the bleeding process is easy enough and at least you can eliminate one variable.

I will definitely look into this either today or over the weekend. Seems to have all the spunk back I thought I was missing, but it never hurts to double check everything

just found at today that the service rep who was responsible for what should have been 3 weeks max of warranty work to take a full 5 weeks was fired. I just picked the car up from him Friday. Said he was let go for "lack of quality and urgency" which is ironic because I was calling the GM of the dealer today to talk about these exact issues. Ps: my wife's shop put my car on the lift today and found that 8 sub frame mounting bolts were missing

What? 8 subframe bolts? What bolts are we talking about here? I don't even think it has 8 total. Or maybe the brace? Even then, I think it has about that many total...lol.
