Fuse Pull Question For NPP

Hey guys quick question about the fuse pull.

- When pulling the fuse does your check engine light will turn on?
- Does Valves stay open all the time on any mode?
- Is it louder or somewhat the same after pulling the fuse?
- And I know on Sport/Track mode, would you lose the popping/crackling noise if you pull the fuse?

Thanks

-No check engine
-yep the valves are permanent open
-it is always like track mode.
-nop I find the popping more specific the AT in manual mode 2nd gear.

Yup it is the GM RPO Code for dual mode exhaust.

No issues, sounds louder at higher speeds & constant rpm's than with it in imo.

Why not just made all the settings to have the valves always open?

Some people do like to keep their exhaust quiet at certain times.

I personally like it when I leave my house at 5am to go to work. I’m pretty sure my neighbors appreciate it too.

That being said, I do keep meaning to do the fuse pull. Then I’ll just have to start the car with the garage closed.

I do wish they’d have an always open option built in. Would be nice but I doubt they’ll ever do that. :/

Is pulling the fuse any different than just manually setting it on track mode in the driver settings?

I have read that a lot of people with the auto can tell a difference between the fuse being pulled and just leaving it in track mode particularly at highway speeds.

Does anyone know if there is a difference between leaving it in track mode and pulling the fuse for M6 owners?

I have the A8 and pulled the fuse after my NPP rattle returned (after the "glue" fix failed).

Have never heard the rattle since.

The main difference between setting the exhaust to Track mode all the time and pulling the fuse is that the exhaust valves are ALWAYS open with the fuse pulled. With Track mode exhaust, the valves still close down at lower RPMs.

I remember what it sounded like before I pulled the fuse. Now it is MUCH better!
