Let's hope not, but that's where the world is heading. Mind-numb automatons drinking your latte and scrolling FB while your vanilla no personality vehicle plods along to the next destination.

That’s a real bummer if it proves to be true. I hate that pony cars have become $50k, which I personally believe is partly to blame. The target market these are built for is going to struggle trying to afford the price tag on the model they actually want.

Not overly shocking to hear (if true). The muscle car bubble is going to have to pop at some point. We've been on a constant uptick for nearly 20 years now which has outlasted the 60's - 70's muscle car era.
Guess I'll just keep cherishing my '13 SS... |

Well Europe are trying to shove us all head first in to electric cars, they don't want big engines or muscle cars. :(

Only ONE not so credible website is saying that.
Probably just click bait. Wait for a credible automotive news agency to put it out and then we can have a discussion.

IMO two of the things that are hurting sales, are the cool factor has wore off and the pricing.

Does GM even advertise the Camaro anymore or do much product placement? It seems I see a lot of Charger/Challenger and Mustang on TV but not a lot of Camaro.

I hope that this is not going to happen.

Point #3 is the biggest thing I picked up on when Al was reassigned. To say the 7th gen is on hold is really not all that surprising. Sad, but not surprising. This further solidifies my opinion to keep my car indefinitely.
I wonder what kind of electric muscle/sports car Al is coming up with. I still say they should call it a Chevrolet Panther after the original intended Camaro name. With GM's focus on electric vehicles the Corvette may even be in danger if it doesn't switch to electric one day. Hopefully the 7th gen Camaro will come back into the picture, but after the failure of the 2019 refresh I would guess that GM is going to give up and leave the muscle car market for Ford and now Dodge. Truly sad.

Mmmm no. 5gen is a great car. 6gen sucks. That's the reason why sales dropped and 7gen is cancelled!

Chevrolet issued the following statement: "While we will not engage in speculation, we will remind you of our recently announced updates coming to the Camaro lineup this fall. An all-new LT1 model will provide customers V8 power with the design and affordability of our LT trim. The award-winning SS model will feature a new front fascia from the Camaro Shock concept. All of our updates are customer-driven to improve the car and its driving experience.” It seems they're waiting to see if 2020 sales increase.
