Installed gill vinyl today

Installed gill vinyl on the Camaro.
This was the first time I ever installed any kind of vinyl on a car before.
I wish they were a little more like a model decal where you have some time to slide it around and get them just where you want them.
But overall, it wasn't too bad.
I had an easier time with the right side rather than the left.
I'm right handed.
On the right side, I used my left hand to anchor the decal and my right to "steer" the decal just where I wanted it.
The left side was the other way around and I struggled a bit getting the decal right where I wanted it. But the left side looks OK.

Looks like you did good. You can use a spray bottle with a mixture of soap n water to glide them around like you are talking about then you just squeegee the moisture out.

That's what I thought, but the instructions specifically said "no soap".

The manufacturer said this:
"No soap at all. That works with vinyl/soap from previous decades. Newer vinyl is air release which allows water/air to come thru the material. Modern soap has skin moisture in it which causes vinyl not to stick. Sometimes it will stick short term, but really can cause adhesion issues."
