Was choosing between 2018 new NFG w/o sunroof and 2017 used HBM. Couldn't afford the new one, I like NFG, but I love HBM, $9000 less w/16K miles - and sunroof!

I get compliments everywhere I go

Started out wanting yellow but fell in love with Hyper blue as soon as I saw it in person. I always get compliments on the color.

It’s much darker than the IROC blue. I liked it ever since I saw it in person. Interesting that GM dropped other Blue colors in the 5th gen because they weren’t selling, but this one is, as a percentage of overall production.

I’ve had two in this color and my biggest issue is the quality of the paint jobs.

In my area there’s nothing but 5th gens and 6th gen Mustangs.
The only 6th gens I see are red and black. I’m the only blue one.
I love it, I was going to get Nightfall Gray Metallic but, i couldn’t find the one I wanted even 200 miles away. The blue, well, blue me away. Fell in love with it.

Hyper blue is one of the best blues I've ever seen on a car. Maybe THE best.

HBM is a very good color indeed, perfect hue and intensity, pops in the sun, has immense depth and is also pretty unique. Now even more, as it got discontinued in favor of a (subjectively) inferior choice...

I still prefer garnet red though, it has the same qualities, except maybe the rarity (many other brands and models come in similar maroonish colors), and speaks to me unlike any other color.

the only thing i regret about my HBM is that i absolutely could not find one with the kalahari interior. i could have ordered one but i stopped buying "new" cars a long time ago. when i found my 16 it had 99.9% of the exact options i was looking for....except it had the black leather interior.

big....still one of the most fun cars i have ever owned. it was quite amazing for its time, especially in 85, first car that:

17" directional tires (goodyear gatorbacks)
TPI fuel injected v8 from the vette.....it was only rated around 230 hr, but i could light up the tires easily
nascar styling with chin spoiler, ground effects all around
special valved bilstein shocks

wish i still had mine.
