Another adventure for the LT1 was taking a 400 mile trip to the Smokey mountains and take on the Tail of the Dragon.
We were guided through over 200 miles through the mountains starting at the 129hub. Incredible journey. If any of you ever get the chance, I'd highly recommed the trip. And drive like hell. Followed a Porsche and a 5th gen ZL1 and the LT1 did really well. Couldn't imagine what taking a SS 1LE would be like.

A couple updates, last year managed to get that 10 second slip as a bolt on car. Added a set of heads from GPI and the car did a 10.92@129 mph. This mph the car has is incredible. Goal is for 130s with stock cam.
Being it was still on the LT2 intake, I wanted to try something else. Couldn't justify getting an MSD. Just ridiculous for a plastic manifold for marginal gains over my ported lt2. Researched the BTR trinity and just couldn't get the data to back it up for stock cam N/A application. For the price, and backed data for faster cars, the high ram it is. Honestly, the cutting of the firewall and plastic wasn't too bad. I did remove the entire metal piece to get a good cut, cleaned up with a file and painted black. VFN max clearence hood is on its way but for now, I'm going to enjoy how it is. Hopefully 130 trap speed is eminent.
