I'll look into the Boostane and Torco. But will it be enough to bring 91 octane up to 93? I figure a full tank out here will probably last me about 2 months. I figure I DD my truck and I filled up around Sept 24th and didn't have to refill it again until a couple days ago. So my ZL1 which won't be my DD will probably last much longer.
Boostane will take you over 100+ octane depending how much you add. They have a mixing chart on the website. I have been using it for the past 4 years. I would buy a 5gal can when they run their 20 or 25% off sale with free shipping. It would last appx. 1.5 years. I did change to e30 2 weeks ago so i wouldn't have to bother with it anymore. I will keep adding the boostane however til its used up.

I got my final numbers. It made 533 stock with RF intake and MBRP Race catback. After the Stage 4 build it made 745 on 93 octane, 783 on 100 octane, and 772 on E44. I'm happy with those numbers. I think they're pretty good for a nice, safe, efficient, setup that has room to grow. And the blower is nowhere near maxed. So there will be no issues with heat soak or excessive intake temps. For now I plan to get it back and see how I like all the new performance. I should have it back by Thursday.

BTW, all the pulls were in 6th gear and on a Dynojet. I'm looking forward to ripping this thing when I get it back!!

I would be very happy with those numbers for using 93, good job. I can see the next build already with the SC ported, 112mm TB, larger injectors.

Do you know what Lambda it ran at? I can't remember, besides dsx low side pump, what other fueling mods?

I don't have any info on the AFR. I'm pretty sure it was tuned with some room left. And the DSX Aux and flex fuel conversion are the only fueling mods.

I'll post the dyno sheet in a bit.

Being our build is so similar, if you get time and do a wot test or talk with with your tuner, can you see what your Lambda reading and Inj Pulse width are and what ur PE tables are at? I would like to compare. At e47 my tuner had me at .88-.89Lambda. He swears its fine to run it that lean, but i am more in favor of .84-.87 range. Others here think my range is too lean as well and say it needs to be .82 which to me is on the rich side still.

Since it is Direct Injection I guess it can run a little leaner than what the older engines could get away with. But I'm not sure if I'd be completely comfortable with it running that lean tho. I say that but meanwhile I don't even know where mine is at. LOL!! I'll see what I can find out for you so we can compare notes.

.88-.89 does seem to be pushing it closer than what most do. It sounds more like an aggressive tune.

I just got the car back and took it for a spin!! Holy crap is this thing insane!! It is nothing like it was before. And it is crazy loud. And that blower, you can hear all that air just being forced in. This thing is wicked!

So for now I am just gonna baby it to get used to it and to kinda break-in the parts. I doubt I can go WOT because it just feels like it will spin right out. So until I get a good set of tires and get used to it I won't be going all in. Driving it aroud town it rides nice but has an aggressive idle...not too rough, not too mild, it is right where I want it. Power delivery is instant. That cam sound (not the lope) is just awesome!! And the lope itself is nice and choppy. This is a very aggressive street setup and I think this is about all I want for now. There is room left and maybe I'll explore that soon. But for now I am happy with it!!

BTW I am on the tune adjusted for 91 octane. So when I get back to NJ I can see how the 93 octane tune works out!!

I'll post pics tomorrow.

Sounds good...if you don't already have it, Drag Radials at that power level is a must...it gets fishy very fast on regular street tires

Way to go Blaq, congrats! Please post a video under the hood and running. "Wicked" might be a good name for the car.

This time around Jeremy formato at Fasterproms. Basically I was looking for someone to tune the speed density as the person who did the tuning after the parts install last year had it turned off using MAF only.

did a test hit on my way to work today starting in 4th gear and not sure if good or not, but took 8 sec flat to go from 63 to 155. The fueling up top looks good, just need to richen up the MAF a tad lower down on the wot range.
