Bluetooth Microphone Terrible? - Page 3

I took the car into the dealer this morning to address the microphone issue and a few others, and they called this evening and told me that there was a software update released for the car and that it should fix the microphone problem. Sounds sketchy to me, but I will test it in the morning when I pick it up. Has anyone else taken their Camaro in for this issue and been told anything different?

So 3 visits later the dealer finally agreed to replace the mic. Part is on order and he'll call me when it's in. Hope it fixes it

I hope it does fix it for you!

After getting mine back and testing it after the update they claimed fixed everything "(the tech even tried it with his iPhone" mmhmm) it fixed nothing.
Hopefully I'm going to take it to a different dealer and keep taking it until they agree fix it. This dealership gave me the "tech could not duplicate any issues" excuse for every other issue I'm having so I don't want to waste my time with them anymore.

Yeah, i've heard from others the mic is complete poop... Sucks, don't see how a software update would fix this.

My mic is perfect, use it all the time and have been told I can be heard perfectly. Noticed just today that it automatically lowers the a/c fans if I'm on a call or listening to/dictating a text.

Android phones can text message your speech with the OK GOOGLE feature from Google Now and the Google Now launcher apps.

It supports alot of very useful commands, "send text message to", "navigate to", the list goes on and on.

Same here. Havent been able to force the fans back to full speed if i want though.

When I hang up, the fans go back to whatever speed they were at.

Correct, but you cant override the slow down while in a conversation.

Interesting update: the dealer replaced the mic - they're super nice.

Now my voice is relatively clear at standstill (quality is 3/10 I'd say) - the moment you start driving though the voice completely cuts off. It doesn't sound like you're in a tunnel anymore. It just fades out.

This is SOO FRUSTRATING! I've taken the car in 4 times now for issues from the factory, and only one of them has even been addressed so far - and not even fixed yet.

Just to gather some data points, who on this forum is able to have a 100% legible conversation of similar quality to a normal phone call while they're driving at 45+mph?
