Hi guys,
General question regarding ordering a custom Built Camaro . Anyone know what kind of discount is to be expected On an order? (As a percentage off MSRP) I qualify for supplier pricing so wanted to see what’s A strong discount to be had. I understand the factory is currently closed as there Are delays due to the chip shortage but possibly looking At ordering a 2022 later this summer . |

I ordered my 2020 2SS in Nov 2019, I had 3 dealers tell me that since I was special ordering I HAD to pay MSRP (one even went so far as to tell me that was GM's "rule" and any dealer not honoring that "rule" risks losing their dealer license!), I found 3 other dealers who were willing to deal and obviously went with one of those, in the end I got about 10% off of MSRP (including rebates) so I was pretty happy with it, I knew I would pay a bit more ordering, but I wanted exactly what I wanted and no one had one in the entire country, so ordering was an easy choice (I wanted to order).
The dealer requested a $500 REFUNDABLE deposit at time of order. Hope this helps!

Hey Tuna, I second 2SS Capt's thoughts, when there is actual supply, there is also opportunity for discounts whether or not you're ordering. Camaros are made to order anyway, those you see at the dealership are also ordered (by them, to specs they think would sell well).
I received a similar percentage of ~10% off MSRP when I ordered my 2SS in 2018.

I am getting ready to order a 22 ZL! convertible. I am eligible for the GM Employee discount so it's a fixed price. The dealer is asking for $2500 down.

I am also ready to order a 2022 1SS Convertible, but I can't find anybody with a consensus/allocation for a 2022 yet.
I'm getting scared that GM might not make 2022's due to the 2021 issues and the upcoming rumored 2023 Camaro electric replacement. I guess I'll end up with a Mustang 5.0 Convertible if that happens... which is not good...

Dealer allocation will be coming towards the end of the summer. 2021s will be produced through July.

well it depends on the dealer if its $500 its $500 and if its $1500 its $1500(know what I'm saying) but at the end you will get the money back towards the purchase of the vehicle, but once the order goes in you cant get the money back because it is nonrefundable

As for MSRP, I've never paid it, but right now who knows. I always order cars and that experience is worth the slightly higher price to me. If Camaro is your dream car, don't settle for one that isn't exactly what you want. |
