Do you think it will be hard to do aftermarket? Can you get it aftermarket? How much would it be?

The only aftermarket HUD's I've found just lay on the dash and won't be available until late 2009 early 2010. They also display a black screen (so you can't see though them) and just display speed unlike factory HUD's that also display rpm's and are clear allowing you to see though them. I've not found any prices yet.

There may be more aftermarket HUD's then the ones I've found.

The factory one wont be available until June 2010, or the start of the 2011 model year.

In 3rd gear at 128mph, the average fuel economy readout ought to show a stick figure taking a dump.

They should make the readouts user specific like, who gives a $hit.

it won't be an add on. the windshield needs to be built right to support the HUD and GM wouldn't produce all the 2009 camaro's with a specialized windshield and have the HUD available later for it.

I have money in hand and am waiting for it to become available. That is unless I drive one and decide that I dont want to wait any longer.
