A10 clunk when coming to stop

I’ve noticed recently a clunk just as I’m coming to a normal stop from my 2022 a10 ss. Im not sure if this is new but now that I’ve noticed it I always notice it. Does everyone’s do this? It only seems to do it once the torque converter has locked which makes me think maybe it’s the converter unlocking? Sometimes the clunk is more aggressive than others. Can always be heard but sometimes both heard and felt. I’m pretty confident a dealer will say it’s nothing and I’m hoping it’s not but I really want to be assured before I do any mods! Please help me out guys, thanks.

I doubt that it is nothing and you should get it checked out. I had a BMW that would make a clunk and would lunge forward when it shifted from 3rd to 2nd when stopping. It turned out to be the mechatronic in the tranny. After getting the mechatronic replaced it was fine. Don't wait for it to miraculously heal itself.

Just not sure it’s obvious enough to most people but I guess I’ll give it a shot. This is the whole reason I got this car because I had endless transmission problems with my scat pack. Should just start buying manuals I guess.

If you're lucky, all it needs is a relearn, which the mechanic should be able to activate. Then again, I don't recall others having this specific issue with the A10 here, so I definitely agree that this isn't "normal", don't let anyone try to convince you otherwise. It could also be overfill or underfill or a number of partial mechanical faults, hope the dealership or the mechanic will find the real root cause for you.

I did a relearn myself and it didn’t change anything as far as the clunk. I’ll take it to the dealer once and if I start getting the same runaround as my charger it will just be time to move on.
