Water got in trunk/radio quit working

Long story short I went into an auto car wash with my fiberglass trunk on (have one for drag racing wasn’t thinking about it)

Good amount of water collected in bottom of trunk in the rear. Now radio doesn’t work. Everything works as usual in the car and the display. Just have no
Sound coming out of speakers.

Water got on the noise cancellation module and possibly some on the small fuse box on the right side.

Should I check fuses? Would that module cause my problem ?

Car is just a 1ss with standard radio/audio system

Thanks

Might of shorted out the amplifier if the fuses look good.

I feel terrible for you. I had water in my trunk last year. Luckly I was able to get it repaired under warrenty. All the connections in the fuse box corroded and they ended up replacing a ton of parts as well as 2½ days labor.

I however did manage to repair the amplifier. The amp is not sealed (bad design imho). The amp is conformal coated which protects a lot of the parts but where the heatsink of the actual amp parts connect to the case the conformal coating is masked off. The vias near those heatsink pads corrode. I soldered wire through those vias to repair them, I had to remove the amplifier chips to get to vias under the part. I am an electronics professional though so this isn;t exactly a DIY repair. You probably need a new amplifer.

When the dealer did my warrenty repair they also added a drain hole to the trunk.
