Woo Hoo ! Out of Winter Storage
Took my 2018 ZL-1 out of storage this weekend and went to Cars and Coffee, and just generally hooned a bit around town. After not driving it for 3 months it's like a new car, and it's a very special experience. It's a weekend only car anyway, so every time I drive it is special for me.
I am so grateful to have this car. It is a once in a lifetime buy for me. The performance is absolutely amazing, the car is just beautiful, and the road presence is just fantastic. Happy!!! Mark R. Albuquerque, NM |

Sounds like you had a great day!
Anxiously waiting for the salt to clear off the streets here in Chicago area. |

It's the price some of us pay for low humidity.

Now that could be the best argument I have heard for dealing with winter.

I can’t believe folks don’t know what ‘winter storage’ means!

I was wondering why you were storing during winter in New Mexico !!!!
I know what you mean about it feeling like a brand new car after taking out of storage. It has felt like that for me that past two years with the Hellcat and the ZLE. It's 62 degrees here in NJ today !!!! Of course, I'm stuck at work. Still, I'll take the nice day. I think we are done with the snow here, I just need a day or two of nice rain to get all the salt and winter chemicals off the roads and my three villains will come out of from under the sheets! I can't wait.

No winter storage for me either here in LA, but it does seem to have the benefit of making you appreciate the car more. The only reason I dont track the car much in the winter is that money is diverted to ski trips, I can't afford two expensive hobbies at the same time.

I'm building a house in the mountains, and it is at 7,400 feet. It definitely gets some harsh winter up there. |

I brought my 2SS out of hibernation today, too, in celebration of 60+ degree fair weather. She purred to life as if I'd put her to sleep yesterday and not several months ago, everything looks good, power is still there.
The one good thing about winter storage, as someone else already alluded to, is that it's almost like getting a new car every spring, heh. I need to readjust my driving after all this time with that whale of an SUV I've been driving lately.
