Question 2017 Camaro v6 questions

Hey guys I’m in the process of purchasing a Camaro v6 manual,

1. Does it have enough power to spin the wheels? Is it dangerous to try with the small v6?
2. Should I first thing install the oil catch can as this is a direct injection motor

It’s got 56k miles

The wheels will spin no problem from a launch or slow roll if you want them to.

Definitely get a catch can.

Thank you so much for the reply.

I was thinking of a basic $30-40 one from Amazon. Because the practicality of it. Just need to make sure the hoses are well secure and not flimsy IMO. I don’t really know but hey I’ll learn lol.

Given the purchase price of the vehicle, I wouldn’t skimp out on the catch can. It’s a critical add on to these direct injected engines and you could get a great one from Elite Engineering for about $200.

I second not skimping for cost efficient parts. You’ll end up paying twice in the long run to fix/replace down the road vs paying more up front for high quality. I’ve found that’s applicable to both performance and cosmetic parts. As far as CC, you can’t go wrong with Elite or Tracy Lewis/RX.
