Looks good! I was thinking about painting those as well, but I’m too lazy to take them off! Lol.

I cleaned the covers with rubbing alcohol and then sprayed two coats of this. No real thought to it as to why I picked this brand. I wanted something in silver/gray and this is what I found in my wife's paint stash in the garage.

That looks excellent. Haven’t seen many go that route but based on your results, I’m thinking it may just become a popular choice!

I call her "The Ghost", so I got a custom 3rd brake light decal. I like it! The camera makes the lights look a little fuzzy in the pic, but not too bad.

Thanks for the compliments and positive feedback. I was inspired by fellow forum member Abubaca when he posted about painting his. Plus I was bored with too much "stay at home" pandemic time on my hands.

To take the covers off the only tool you need is a Torx T-30 bit. When you back the bolts out - don't worry that you will drop and lose them as they have "keepers" on them to hold them to the coil covers. You also have to pop off the upper covers and pull all the oil separator lines off (just push in on the gray tab while pulling straight up and they pop right off). The covers are a tight fit and it takes a lot of giggling and twisting to snake them on and off - especially getting them back on. Be patient and take your time. Its certainly a DIY project most anyone can do.

Very nice.

Just curious:
What width (or widths) did you use to achieve the finish and how did you get it to conform so well?
