That is nice work, very impressive!

People should get PPF for track duty, I've been tracking my ZLE pretty hard on gravel-strewn tracks in CA since I bought it new in 2018 and my Xpel has not peeled at all, and if it did my installer here in LA would replace it.

Others should be able to find a good PPF installer who will do the same for them.

Yep GM paint is near the bottom, I think Mercedes and BMW are near the top

You don't buy these cars for paint or interior quality of course

What about a track day specific PPF like tracwrap from Xpel? Something you can peel off when you're done with your track day. If it was me, I'd PPF the entire front end now that you've redone it, then put the tracwrap on over the PPF for extra protection for track days.

That's exactly what I do, I use 12" wide Xpel Tracwrap over my Xpel PPF on high impact areas I care about like the front of hood and CF hood vent, also on front 1/4 of roof and rear fender flares.

It's not cheap but stays on, but it's much harder to apply well than painters tape. It's nice when I have 2 weekends back to back or within 2 weeks so I can leave it on.

I'll have to check again but when I got a quote from what seems like a reputable shop in signal hill, I believe they wanted an annual inspection in order to honor the warranty, which of course is an out of pocket expense. I'll have to check if this was only on ceramic coating or ppf or both. The front alone wasn't cheap.
Who did u go with, if you don't mind me asking. Dm if you like. Thanks
