Ya'll must be smoking something interesting while wearing tin foil hats also I'm guessing.

There is absolutely nothing private about a VIN # in any capacity. It contains build information like engine size and number of doors.

Searching the GM packages for '11 I did not see a package grouping these 3 items. Is it just a coincidence that each car I found had all 3 add on's ?

Thanks

No, these are aftermarket parts. Some of the other responses were correct in that sometimes the dealer will perform these simple mods to entice sales.

I doubt a dealer would do all that OP is asking about, just to make a car more sellable... but I could be wrong. I know when I bought my SS (new from dealer), I opted for the Heritage Grille as part of the sale (an option, if you will). Dealer ordered it and installed it about a week after I bought the car.

those look like GM parts to me. They are dealer installed or owner installed but they are not aftermarket.

in 2010 dovetail, heritage grill, and GFX were options but not listed as on base factory order since they were not ready at time of shipping. later ones they were dealer options. and could be ordered in painted colors. Eventually GM came out with their synergy edition models.

Yes I got my answer not a special package. Thanks to all for the replies. If dealer installed, I presume they would not show up on the factory build sheet. I will try to get a copy to see.

These are GM parts, whether they added before the sale, or if original owner ordered all the options, I will probably never know.

What I do know is that I love the options, and they are not cheap. Glad I bought used, and only paid fair market value based on the car, not the extras. Win win!

Also I have factory wheels that are chromed, I have not found that as an option, so 1st owner must have had them chromed?

There is a long list of various special edition appearance packages but those are just options. There was a option for chrome wheels also. My Camaro came with a moon roof, dual mode exhaust, CRT crystal claret pearl tricoat, premium wheels, and heritage grill ordered by a dealer. Rarer is to have factory GFX installed from the start, many add it as I plan to some day. Did you add those rally stripes? that's a option too....lol

Again thanks to all for replying. My original quest was answered 20 replies ago.

These are just GM options that were added after car left the factory.

Thanks again
Ken
