BMR Engine mounts

Debating on whether to install the bmr mounts when i have the motor out of my car for cam, piston/rod swap. What's the consensus on the increased nvh associated with the bmr mounts? I'm considering these primarily to open up space but don't want to go there if the vibration will be significant increased.

The only word to caution I will say is be careful. Some NVH is bad enough the knock sensors in the engine will pick the noise up and think it is detonation.

I'm running the MM010 on my vert, they seem to have solved my issue with my TSP 1 7/8 header hitting the steering shaft. I will say I do feel a little more vibration at idle not as noticeable when driving. I will be doing a run to CA in the next 15 days +/- and plan to data log the KR and see what I pick up. Overall I feel they are a great mount and would not go back to the stock ones personally.

That sounds encouraging. I'm interested in seeing your KR logs. I'm not worried about a little more vibration at idle, but false KR would be a deal breaker. My Kooks headers clear the steering shaft, but the BMR mounts would certainly make removing the headers or starter a lot easier!

I did pistons, rods and a cam along with the mounts all at once. I have considerablely more nvh especially with a cold start. I had to track down a couple of rattles and still have a couple more to find. Down the highway I would say the difference is slight but at idle it is noticeable.

Also i had to turn down my knock sensors a lot to not have constant knock reported. I am running e85 so not too worried about it. I have had a couple of near misses (lean events) and it reported knock so I think they are still working.

That constant reported knock could be a louder motor, could be the mounts, could be one if my turbos or exhaust bumping on something. You may not have the same problem.

Thanks for the info. I'm leaning towards sticking with the stock mounts but may change my mind the next time I need to remove the starter or passenger side header lol!

I installed the solids in mine when I did the exhaust and hurst shifter. Did it all in one day all by myself. Pretty easy to do and save a few pounds and bulky stock mounts.

So i ended up putting these in... not easy at all, but made the header install super smooth. I do notice more NVH but its not terrible. I dont regret it, but am still working on my remote tune, so i will report on the KR log once finished...
