So with this kit you are basically paying a $4000 premium for your rotor hats on ZR1/Z28 rotors..

I think our light weight (yet built for track duty) rear two piece is a good option if you want to save some weight and its weight is about the same as CCM but cost only fractional.
So a highly affordable/efficient combo would be CCM rotors in the front (re-use your stock calipers), and RB two piece in the rear. Let's know if you are interested in this bundle kit. |

How, if at all, would that affect braking balance and ABS functionality? There were some interesting stories of people installing big brake kits on the Gen 5 cars. |

The best value rotor kit for G6 ZL1, Front CCM and rear light weight two piece rotor bundle is up for order.
This rotor kit is designed and made for fitting OE calipers (both front and rear), with 100% bolt on installation. Front CCM discs are same as Z/28, so after your purchase of RB CCB rotor kit future disc replacement will be easy and low cost. Significant weight reduction: Front axle: 31.6 lbsLeamtime: 2 wks http://www.racingbrake.com/RB-394mm-...gm-cirk-01.htm *RB light weight iron rotors weight almost the same as Z/28 rear CCB. Just out of curiosity, you say the front CCM disks are the same as the Z/28, does that mean that (theoretically)...I could buy a set of Z/28 front rotors now and they'd fit right onto a ZL1? |

No. The Z28 rotors will not fit G6 spindle (SS/ZL1) directly.
You must purchase RB-CCB rotors first then after that when you need replacement "discs" you can purchase Z28 rotors dis-assemble them and re-assemble the new CCM disc to RB hats. Discs are interchangeable but not the rotor. |

This illustration can help members better understand between a rotor and a disc.

Weight saving:
Front axle: 31.6 lbs (Replace OE Iron to CCB) 4 corners: 43.2 lbsThis huge un-sprung weight reduction will significantly change how your ZL1 responds to acceleration and deceleration. RB is the first and still the only brake company offers rear light weight two piece rotors for Camaro/CTS-V/Z06 since some 10 years ago. Our composite hat allowing you to use your rear emergency brake just like OE 1pc, unlike other competition either tell you don't need rear two piece, or just cut the hat from aluminum w/iron sleeve like ours. The problem is aluminum is soft and can easily get scored and damaged if you forget to release hand brake, neither you can rely it for emergency braking. We just updated shipping leadtime to 2 weeks for this excellent combo (CCM front + RB 2pc iron rear). Be the first one to install this value kit, and receive free shipping until they are in stock. http://www.racingbrake.com/RB-394mm-...gm-cirk-01.htm Any question? PM, email or call 714-971-6392 |

Anyone interested in this upgrade?
We just expedited the front hats, so we are now able to ship a complete CCM kit for a bolt on installation for G6. If you have ZL1 you will only need the rear Z28 calipers and our bundle allows front caliper deduct (see option under caliper). The most valuable and affordable CCM brake upgrade for your ZL1. http://www.racingbrake.com/Camaro-Z-...rccb-gm-02.htm Leadtime: Order can be shipped in 1 week. |
