Xpict , every FBO/E85/Heads/Cam 6th Gen should be able to hit 9’s with a little bit of weight reduction. The problem is that so many people, mostly young kids are worried about looks . It’s all about showing off to them. They don’t know how to finesse the sport of drag racing .
They worry about big wings , splitters, wheels , lights , etc. my ran a 10.73 at 128 with no converter with a 6.92 1/8 mile . With a converter it runs 6.80 which is a 10.50 N/A. Why do you think will happen when I go heads/cam. Yep. It will probably go 9.9 with only 540-550whp and no high ram . If you want to go fast , don’t start with a 2SS. Give up the dumb leather seats , sunroof , the big wing that slows you down. Hell there are a lot of slow ZL1’s out there too. Problem is is people doing want to look good before going fast and that’s the problem with the 6th Gen community .

Its better to start with an Lt1 or a 1ss which is what I had in 2016. My 1ss was about 30 lbs heavier then my Lt1.

That sounds better to me. Can you still daily drive that 9 second Camaro? I’m not into drag racing otherwise I would’ve started with an LT1. I’ve only drag races my bike just to see how fast it would go, took me 12 pass’ to get there 🤣. But I’ve never done it. I like watching you guys drag race though it is fun, just have different priorities is all.

Yea but to each one their own. As long as they are having fun.

I had always hoped GM would build a modern COPO. It would be the same
setup as the LT1,but with the 1LE Brakes and wheels powered by the LT4.

With an A10 it would be an easy 10 second car with just Tires (17"). and run low 11s with tires and an M6.

Take that Rustangs! The M6 COPO would start at $45K$. How much fun would that be?
