Why don't you, wise sage from the true north, educate us yokels then, o grand master of Chevrolet. Let me remind you the cars in question were the 2SS 1LE and the ZL1.

same shit you're on pretending a 2ss 1le is 20K less than a zl1. it's about 10K diff and you're still getting gapped by a coyote 5.0

I know what was being compared. the 1le is a great car no doubt but it gets tiring seeing the same argument from 1le owners who "cant justify" the price diff. Okay lol, no one asked just enjoy your car but quit pretending it's anywhere near the zl1 level. zle 7:16 zl1 7:29 nurburgring ss 8:20 no official 1le time but if we even assume a similar 13 sec diff as the 1le vs zl1 posted, and be generous and give it +8 more seconds, it's still 8:00 lap time which would make sense since the mustang GT with performace pack ran an 8:07

Nobody said these cars were identical per se, what was said is they are almost identical apart from the supercharger and the related supporting components. Needless to say, I'm fully aware the 2SS 1LE is not exactly the same a ZL1, but for all practical purposes it's a ZL1 minus 200 crank horsepower. Looks are subjective.

100% and I have nothing against what you've said in this thread, I think earlier we both even suggested the OP go with a zl1 based on the prices he was getting for a 2ss. I think way earlier in the thread I even alluded that his numbers make sense if it was a 2ss 1le around 65K ish. I only took exception to the other guy claiming out of absolutely nowhere he can't justify a $1000 per hp gain. Lmao imagine GM charged 200K more for the zl1. Anyway even IF the cars were 20K difference as he caimed it was in Canada (which they are not) it would be around $100/hp gain which is right on par for most mods anyway.

for what it's worth though, yes they share a lot of the same components. That's why I went with the zl1 and not the zl1 1le actually. zl1 has totally capable track components as it is since it shares a lot of the ss 1le parts (which is an already great track/street ready car). Alpha chassis, suspension, struts -- once you swap the bushings to the zl1 1le parts as well it really tightens up the rear end. the LT4 -- 11 heat exchangers, the blower, fueling system, forged internals, warranty, etc etc are all the nice things you get on top of the track ready zl1 vs the 1le

I don't even have a 1LE, heh, just a frankenstein'd SS with many 1LE and LT4 parts, forged everything, headers, cam, a better supercharger, flex fuel capability etc., worked on by one of the best shops in the US, and ~180 extra crank hp vs a stock ZL1... ...yet I'd never claim my 2SS is "better" than a ZL1 or even a 1LE. Those are special in their own ways, and mine in another, it's the very forever Camaro I wanted, resale value be damned. Guess I'm just a bit tired overall of "trim elitism" (from other people, not you!)

your mod list is perfect. did everything totally correct, did not cheap out at all. I was going down that path with my 2ss (procharger though not supercharger) but the covid market for used cars pushed me to sell. Made a profit on the car after 3 years of use and got me into the zl1 for around the same difference it would have been for the drop in kits, fueling, blower, etc.

Jesus christ you inbred redneck. 2ss 1le vs zl1 is literally a 9K price difference. In saskatoon I know that means 15 years of saving your farm dollars but my god you're dumb.

$1000 per hp more LMAO my god you're literally dumber than the farm animals you keep. So by your saskatoon math the zl1 is not only $20,000 more (wrong) it's actually $200,000 more.
