New dealer alignment protocol?

So I took my car to the dealer for the track alignment. I know you guys recommend race shops and to max out front camber. However I wanted to give the dealer a chance and I don't plan on tracking it often enough to justify max camber. I had the performance manual on the dash open to the alignment page and the service writer copied the page to make sure they knew what I wanted. I go to pick up my car and the front is -1.5 and the rear is -1.3. The alignment print out said track alignment and the ranges were -1.4 - -1.7 on the front and the rear was -1.0 - -1.3. I took my car back today to get the proper specs but the alignment guy had an attitude with me and said the track alignment was updated and my specs were wrong. I just told him I wanted what was in the book due to it being barely enough camber for most of you. Has anyone else heard of an update to the specs?

SS 1LE track alignment is -2 front, -1.5 rear per the supplemental performance manual that comes with the car.

I would go directly to the service manager and if they are no help, a different dealer.

yeah he had the copy of the supplement page with the proper specs but ignored them due to the computer telling him otherwise. They are fixing it tomorrow but just didn't know if anyone else had ran into this since he said it was an updated alignment spec.

Another supporting argument for DIY.

“We don’t have a clue how to operate this machine.”

When I did mine there were a half dozen or more different 2018 SS Camaro specs in the machine. I knew what I wanted so it didn't matter which one I chose.

What I've encountered is that they (the shop I've used, non-dealer) doesn't want to dick around with camber such as that it's in the +/- specified range, then they can't be bothered to get in to it and set each wheel @ an exact number. It come's up green on the screen and that's about all that they're willing to do. It's enough that I've seriously looked in to home alignment; DIY.

Had my dealer replace strut under warranty, they set camber / toe to my specs, within track guide reco, but outside of their "standard" specs.

Varies by dealer and how many pains in the ass the service writer has had to deal with.

Only local place that has been able to do my track alignments correctly per my spec is my Goodyear tire dealer. Comes down to finding a place that has a competent alignment tech that's willing to do special alignments.

My last set of F1 G3's I got at tire discounters. They did a free alignment and to my surprise their machine had specs for 1LE perfomance supplement. I only had them adjust the rear as front bolts are one time torque to yield but they will be able to do your alignment.

I was also thinking about going through this alignment.
For those who followed the specs in the supplement: How different does it feel on the street compared to before alignment?

it has been shown a couple of times now, the front bolts can be re-used. Some are not replacing them until the 3rd time to have them loosened and torqued.

This.
Get your camber dialed in to where you want it, then swap out to new bolts, one at a time to retain settings.

I thought it was only the rear that’s TTY?
