2020 LT1 Launch

Hello all!

I’ve been getting better times launching my 2020 LT1 with 245 all seasons. Best I’ve gotten is around 4.2 0-62 according to the performance timer. I’m new to launching RWD as my weekend track car is a built Subaru STI. Does the LT1 in 2020 have launch control? I’ve been putting it in Sport mode, ESC and TC is off via holding down the button for 5 seconds and launching at 1k. Any tips? This is an a10 btw.

I think you need to step up to the ss to get the launch control and line lock

Do you happen to know where line lock option be at? I have a 2SS and found launch in settings page but I couldn't find line lock.

Sounds like that was a rental. The prime reason I would not buy a previous rental sports car. Who knows what’s been done to it. This guy was pretty easy on the car (from what can be seen in the video). But you know people are Renting and beating the living hell out of these cars.

I found it! A quick double tap of the traction control button and hard on the break activates it. Holds it at 2k rpm. Must have not been on the break hard enough.

Cool, I didn't think the LT1 had launch control. Must be an undocumented feature - maybe just part of the SS software and they didn't remove it for the LT1. I thought you had to be in track mode though? And there is no track mode on LT1 so not sure how that works.

I assume LT1 also has no-lift shift too for manual cars. I haven't tried it on mine yet.

I think on the SS its T or S mode. I was playing with it more last night and it's really cool. Double-tap traction button in Sport mode and the dash says ESC Off - Competitive Mode. Hard on the brake and foot all the way on gas - it holds and 2k rpm and when you let off its a gradual roll in. Was able to knock out a 4.1 0-62 on the 245 all seasons. A lot of room for improvement seeing that it was 55 outside.

On the SS you can set the RPM from 1800 to 4000 with manual or 1200 to 2400 with automatic. Page 164 Owner's manual.

Line Lock is Track Mode (if equipped). Page 165

EDIT: 55 is a good temperature for the engine
