With the economy tanking this year they will be lucky to sell any Camaros. You have to have a job to buy anything and a lot of people are going to lose theirs. Be thankful for what you have and can keep it.

I bought my Fifty vert primarily because I love the look and performance of the car, but with strong consideration to the fact that my insurance rate on the ZL1 vert would have been 30 - 40% higher than for the SS vert. But then, Michigan is the highest priced state for insurance and Detroit is the highest priced city in Michigan for insurance, so there's that.
You could move to Illinois where the auto insurance is dirt cheap......................and the property taxes about double

I agree Martinjlm and understand what you are saying! Georgia has high insurance rates too especially if you live in or around Atlanta. Thankfully I live 100 miles SW of Atlanta and mine didn’t go up from what I was paying for my 2016 SS when I bought the ZL1!

Most are over $50k anyway since most of them have PDR, Nav and other options. It's much harder to find a $49,995 2SS 1LE than it is to find one that's $51k plus.

It's a shame gm didn't design a good dual clutch transmission for their higher performance trims instead of the automatic they did. Who wants paddle shifters with a half second delay?

Still kinda surprised they haven't pushed any kind of electric option in any of their official trims to get a head start over ford and dodge. Even if it's not class leading compared to tesla and porsche etc...some people would buy it and it would give them data points they wouldn't otherwise have for whatever comes after 2023.

The delivery industry should boom if it hasn't already. I'm not just talking about big CDL rigs either.

With domestic and foreign industry behind on production there's going to be alot of catching up to do when this blows over. No politician or corporation will have an excuse anymore for relying on China for the production of medical supplies, not to mention other essential goods.

I work a straight 40 hours a week in construction and I would be completely happy working an additional job in the evenings if there were something to do besides retail and food service.

What makes you think it would be $85k? The crate price on an LT5 over
an LT4 is like $3k and that ignores any production line economies of scale GM has.

What does that have to do with anything?
They are now making a mid engined corvette for $59k.

Of course not, just that your metric that GM always behaves one way isn't relevant.
