Headlights were just for looks. Always liked the halos. Think it looks mean going around the track. I do remember you posting about all of that. I definitely like that you took it all back to silver. I think it looks a whole lot better and how it was intended. And your pics were the ones I kept looking at deciding if I wanted the mirrors or not although different colors but I could get an idea!
Yes! Definitely not throwing or selling anything at all! I have been seeing how things are becoming scarce. Sad

The headlights definitely look good. Which ones are they?

Did you happen to weigh the RS vs stock lights.

I did not. I was going to and then I got it all back together and said “I forgot to weigh those things” lol
I will do it in February or so. Going to pull the front back off to upgrade the oil cooler line and oil warmer unit with the improved racing one. So I can pull them real quick and weigh them (if I remember) lol

Love the headlights! Has me thinking I may want to do the same...where did you find them?

That’s why I wondered what the weight difference in the 2 were. There are a few different options(aftermarket & GM) out now. I didn’t like the halogen headlights for visibility until I found a great set of led bulbs. But the halogen lack in visual appeal.

I sourced mine from Craigslist. Guy did the 6th gen conversion and didn’t need these. I see them on here or eBay all the time though for sale.

Overall, I am sure it added weight. Just because the HID bulbs are probably a little heavier, then there is a ballast mounted on the assembly itself, plus the halo, and projector. Then there is the added harness to make it work. But I did the lightweight crash bar too to help balance that out lol

Update!

After a 6 week lead time on the roll bar, it finally came in. I had the shifter come in back in the middle of December, and have had the HUD since last summer. Really hard to wait on everything but wanted to do everything at once! So after a long weekend, I tore the car apart. Completed the HUD install. Removed the back seat and wanted to remove the seat belts as I would no longer need them. Since I had to remove the upper B pillars which also would need the C pillars removed, I figured I could remove the rear panel and remove the rear speakers. Thought that since I was going to be adding weight from the roll bar, I should take out as much as I could. The HUD is installed. The MGW is installed. And the roll bar is in. I just have not bolted it down. I am hesitant on leaving the rear panels out instead of having to cut them. I also purchased the shrader rear seat panel to put in which I will. What do you guys think? Oh and I also installed an auto YAW sensor to get rid of that dreaded hill start assist since I was there lol

And thanks to 2SSRS for getting back to me on the HUD wiring! That thing is tucked and hidden on the passenger side!

Any issues loading the car on that trailer? Initial angle?
