Would be a sad day indeed. Maybe they should just listen to those that buy Camaro's and change the things people complain about etc. People have complained about the small windows for forever now. I love my 13 dont get me wrong. But my favorite ride to this day was my 79. I think it looked so much better. I could also ride with my arm in the window unlike the newer ones. If GM kills the Camaro, yet again, what does that leave us? Not many of us long for Fords and Dodges. lol

The biggest problem with is the whole alpha platform is slated to die not just the Camaro. I am optimistic that they will pull something together maybe by ‘25-‘26. There’s still a considerable market for this type of car. Unfortunately, I wouldn’t be surprised at all if it’s electric. Honestly I feel the hints are all around us, E-Copo, the e vehicle video that had the blue silhouette of a camaro, and most importantly AL O. Heading GMs electric division. I bet we see an electric Camaro in the next few years once a platform is there to build it on.
Marketing is definitely a huge issue with the 6th gen. I’ve noticed they don’t even hardly use it as a pace car in NASCAR or anything like that. That’s there fault for sure. People aren’t going to buy a car that they aren’t being made to feel excited about.

as long as its styled as a camaro and not an awful looking crossover i would be ok.give the options of T4,V8,and electric cause you know thats coming, and keep the LT1 option for those that want a V8 without huge payments.but promote it,i cant remember seeing any camaro ads anywhere.saw a cool looking camaro wagon, which would be waaaayyy cooler than a cossover.

I just get the feeling that Camaro is going to be the sacrificial lamb to the electric car gods. I think it will go full electric long before Corvette, if it even sticks around.

Great cars sell themselves. The 5th gen was a home run not because of advertising, but because it was a great car. GM just didn't execute the 6th gen properly, and that's why it isn't selling well relative to the 5th gen, and to the Mustang, and to the Challenger.

GM is more interested in building too many boring CUVs. I wont be surprised if the Camaro goes on another hiatus. Hopefully it'll be back at some point.

If they're thinking of an EV Camaro, I'd rather see the nameplate retired, ESPECIALLY if they're thinking crossover. However, IMO GM overpriced themselves right out of the market. When Dodge reintroduced the Challenger the SRT-8 package that had similar performance numbers to the SS Camaro cost an extra $10k. Due to the extra cost you barely saw any SRT-8's, mostly RT's or base models. With the 6th gen the technology was there for the cost, but the price was above what the target audience was able to spend. Chevy finally brought the LT1 out, but hasn't said anything for people to know about it.
So, IMO Camaro is either an EV beyond 2023 or goes away and they bring the Chevy Panther out as an EV sports car that looks similar to a Camaro.

Very sad if they stop making the Camaro, it was painful in the 90's when they did it and it will hurt if they do it again...

Funny you mention that, went out shopping with the wife today and when we were walking down the isle(and it's a looooooong walk were I park in a lot), there were 7 CUVs all in a row, all white and everyone was made by a different company. ONE WAS A JAGUAR!!! So boring.
