What would you buy?
Old school I would want a 1963 Split Window Corvette, or 1956 Mercedes 300SL Gullwing.
As far as something more modern I’ve always wanted this body style Aston Martin Vanquish

Tough choice for me. It would be between a '64 Ford Fairlane Thunderbolt, '67 Olds 4-4-2, or Shelby (AC) 427 Cobra. I'm diehard GM unless we're talking about the 60's, then the lines get blurred and the F-word comes up often

Since you’re into auto cross get you a fun not over the top Mazda Miata and then buy any Hemi Mopar or Boss 429 Mustang these cars are always increasing in value. You will then own a car from muscle car history and then have a bad as auto cross car that you can carve the curves and get that drive that is the best stress reliever ever.

I find it funny how many people haven't read thr original post correctly. NON GM VEHICLE was a stipulation. If I was buying other GM vehicles my Superbird would be pushed down my top 10 cars. I'd take '67 L88 number 20 or '69 ZL-1 number 55 as my first 2 choices, followed by other GM greats like a '69 GTO Judge in carousel red with a black interior, '59 Impala 348 big block and a 4 speed, '67 GTO, etc.
