Which Borla Axle Back?!

Hello all. I apologize if someone has already spoke to this, but I’m wondering if anyone can tell me which Borla axle back exhaust sounds best paired with long tube headers on my 2011 SS.

I’m looking for an aggressive louder sound. I have listened to sound clips and thought the Atak was the way to go but someone had told me the S type sounds better with long tube headers.

Thoughts?! Personal experiences?!

Thanks!

I heard the Borla Atak in person and didn't really like it.
Went with Flowmaster Outlaw instead.

Which Borla Axle Back?!

I had Borla Atak on previously. Atak was loud but not a good sound and far too raspy especially after I installed long tube headers and hi flow cats. Was so loud but raspy, sounded horrible. I now have the full Stainless Works “retro chambered” exhaust and it is very loud and waaay deeper and doesn’t have the rasp the Atak had. A true old school deep loud muscle car sound. I’ve had friends with Corsa/Borla exhausts change to stainless works after they heard mine. You really need to hear these systems in person.
If you’re set on Borla and are running long tubes go with the S type, it’s a much better sound overall and still plenty loud.

Have the atak. It's really loud under boost. It sounds good and not too loud driving normal 0 drone. It is raspy under WOT but to me its a trade off its very hard to get no drone and have a deep tone.. my buddy has a 5.0 f150 with outlaw and i really don't like it, its deeper but has some drone and it's got a very slappy sound under WOT bap bap bap bap. I get amazed reactions all the time. People don't expect my car has anything serious since to it until i whack the gas. It's usually, how can a car go from sounding that normal to that crazy!

Thanks guys!! I actually listened to a bunch of clips and ordered the Flowmaster Outlaw exhaust. It really seems to have the old school sound that I like.

Thanks @ Joe M 2012 2SS for the info!!
