Wheel spacers
Has anyone ran wheel spacers on their camaro? I have a 2021 camaro lt1 yes has the v8. I tried the eibach 15mm wheel spacers and after trying to put them on realized that they don’t work with stock wheels since they don’t have a cut out deep enough for the wheel to sit right. Ordered them from American muscle and their website had no information towards this. after I attempted to install them and reached out to them, they then say something. Just wondering if anyone has used any wheel spacers on their camaro and which ones they used? Since I have the lt1 I have a square set up. So I have 245’s all the way around.

Pardon my ignorance, but why do you need such large spacers for a square 245 setup? Smaller ones up to 5mm can be done with the stock wheel studs, for example, if you just want them for the look.

I'm sure its for the looks. Quite a few have done it. 25mm work with no issues. 20mm you'll need to cut about 1/4-3/8 inch or so off the original studs. I got rid of the 25mm on the rear and just run a 5mm spacer as I run 305/35/20. I do run the 25mm up front though. Much better stance. You can check out these threads

Wheel spacers are dangerous they reduce the applied torque to the wheel. Aluminum shrink's and swells with heat.

Wheel spacers are ok if the wheel remains hub-centric. In reality, most wheel spacers are lug-centric, a weaker design. There's a reason why OEM is always hub-centric, and that's much more important on a performance car capable of high speed cornering.
I'm not about to second-guess GM engineers so I stick with hub-centric wheels only. |

The only correct answer to this is to not even consider wheel spacers an option.

No wheels are completely hub centric. Its close but like 10 to 20 thousands of an inch off. The lugs center the wheel. Measure one sometime. U mount a wheel 20 thou off and its goonna bounce like crazy. Theirs nothing wrong with running wheel spacers. Years of experience talking here.

From a physics/engineering standpoint it’s bad and should be avoided if only because GM never validated this condition. It might be ok, it might not you and I can’t know that. Most people, particularly those more interested in bumping the wheel out for appearance likely aren’t subjecting the car to lads that would caus3 a problem. However, this doesn’t make it ok. Sorry, but a spacer is changing the load path and not in a better way. And that doesn’t even touch the discussion of tire envelopes and clearance to the fender. Another potentially bad thing under severe conditions.

Theirs thousands of cars and more trucks esp trucks running 2 inch and bigger out their everyday. U cee em running up and down the road. No problems if they are mounted correctly. I been running them for over 50000 miles any where from 15 mil to 33 no problems. Engineering is great but its not all. doing it is what counts. As for u I suggest you not run any spacers! |

Quality spacers with wheel studs of the proper length are perfectly safe for every use case. Daily, track, autoX, etc.
Most people have problems when they try to do things on the ultra cheap with crap wheels and crap spacers on studs that are too short. Pair something like the Apex parts with ARP studs and you'll be fine. https://www.apexraceparts.com/store/...s/spacers.html
