Scraped front splitter on ZL1

I just pulled out of a parking lot and created some minor scrapes on my front splitter. Will I be able to just go to my local hardware store and purchase some sand paper and polishing paper to remove the scrapes? They are not to bad but are definitely noticable. Any advice would be appreciated.
