Aftermarket Mid Pipes
I currently have kooks headers and off road pipes tied to the stock NPP system. I have an A8 but the afm is tuned out. I'm looking for a mid pipe that will work with this set up, removing the crush pipes and the afm valves, and connect to the factory muffler. I have seen where the transmission tunnel brace is removed on some installations. I don't want to do that. The factory pipes seem to have a bend in them to get over tunnel brace, but all the aftermarket ones I see seem to be straight. I would appreciate what people are doing and how its being configured. Thanks

The Borla set up is 2.75 inches. I'm looking for 3 inch.

Has anyone used the speed engineering pipes with Kooks and stock NPP?

Yes. They dont "bolt together".... you have to do some cutting and either clamp them or weld them

I understand that as it would be the same with any other aftermarket setup that was not Kooks. JUst looking for some pictures or tips on using the speed engineering setup seeing it is 3inches.

The kooks off road connection pipes neck down to 2.75.... so just cut it at the reducer, that way it stays 3" the whole way. Put the speed engineering pipes up and cut where they overlap.... then weld together. They have the same bends, so it's pretty selfexplanatory. Iirc, the speed engineering pipe gets cut right after the o2 bung, because I was hoping to use it for my wideband, but had to cut it out

I have kooks 2" headers, to the off road connection pipes, mated to the speed engineering x pipe, which goes back to my factory NPP exhaust. I kept the tunnel brace, but had to use like 1/8th or 1/4" spacers to get it down a little bit. welds on the speed engineering stuff looked better than the welds on the kooks the clamps speed engineering sends kinda suck... but meh....
