Well as long as it's fixed right...

Well finally got it back today and the synchro is fixed, but now there's a constant clatter and squeak coming from the transmission/centerline area of the car. Sigh. What next? Back to the dealer I guess.

Jeez, maybe just a loose bolt/bolts? Glad the syncro is fixed though.

I've got to ask - think the skip-shift eliminator had anything to do with the problem in the first place? I haven't heard many reviews from people using them, and I find it strange you've got this odd issue.

I want to order one, but concerned of the down-stream impact.

Nope! Nothing at all. It literally only controls the pins that lock you out, nothing else.

Yes they did! They said it was a foam piece that was misaligned.

My '16 2SS has just begun an occasional rough notchy shift into 2nd gear. The car only has a bit over 2k miles (bought new last July). I'm curious if your synchro issue started the same way?

There's a guy on YouTube names "docsboost" or something like that talking about the 1-2 grind that occurs on the tr6060's. He has a gt500 but claims it happens on all tr6060's. He states in his vid that the dealer replacement isn't a real fix since it's some sort of design flaw and there's some hybrid part that's supposed to fix it and says it works.

This is my 2nd tr6060 and it's much better than the one I had in my 09 vette

Oh well. I hope my situation works out as well as yours did. This car has been great so far, only some glitchy my link and random seat memory issues.
The transmission issue is very subtle, and I fully expect the service department response to be the classic "They all do that" or something similar. I guess I need to get it on record though. Thanks for the info.

They did the same to mine and also replaced 1st as well. I have taken mine in 3 times for the some shaking issues and they said it is normal. So is this normal when I was not having these issues when I first bought the car all they way to 3k miles? The thing shakes the whole car when you engage 1st or 2nd gear and it is random when it does it. I'm very disappointed in GM and this will be my last car a buy from them.

Why not pretend to trade it in (maybe to another dealer). They will test drive it and tell you something is wrong. You can then use that to get it fixed. Never did it, just an idea.
