Thinking maybe you may have better access to the bleeder location with the heads off? Maybe OP is doing some engine work so hey, why not? I've been wondering if it's even possible to install the remote bleeder with the trans still installed. Pretty tight quarters.

I have the heads off the car and I was wondering if anybody has tried installing a clutch speed bleeder like that instead of dropping the trans or trying to do it on your back.

No I have the heads off and it makes the bleeder super accessible so I’m going to to try installing one.
