I’m not spending a penny out of pocket if I sold. Owe $11,460. That would leave me around $24.5k.

Can get a Forte GT w/GT 2 for $21k plus tax (discount and rebates). MSRP is $25,650. I actually like the Forte GT especially for the price.

Wish my wife would let me sell her 2016 Silverado Z71. Just turned over 4300 miles. She only drives it to the liquor store.

This explosion in the used car market is bizarre; it cannot last. I was offered $22k by Carmax for my 2016 2SS vert 2 years ago, now they are offering over $32k??? Insanity.

I don't doubt the offer was legit. Summer 2020, my 2019 Grand Sport was valued in the low $50s on a trade in. Last week or so did the KBB Buy it Now offer $64,656. Same problem as a bunch of you. What do I get then. Not a Ford or Dodge guy. I wish my ordered 2SS 1LE would get built, ordered mid February. Then I could sell the Vette and eventually get a C8. i wish I would have kept one of the two Chevrolet SS that I had. Four door monster.

You ain't kidding about the SS man, that was my first choice before snagging the camaro but boy were they pricey new and still pricey used. I gave up after months of searching the continental U.S. for a low mileage six speed manual. Even crazier were those 6 speed manual CTSV station wagons...

Some things just can't be replaced, like being the original owner of the most awesome Camaro ever made.

I love my Camaro but there’s always a “it’s not for sale” sale price. For me it’s probably out of the realm of realistic offers but if anyone has $100k they’re willing to spend on a 2019 2SS 6 speed with moonroof, 2 mode exhaust, and nav, well..... I might listen

If it was any other car I would. But the SS is like Godzilla and hard to part. Soon it will be paid off and all it will cost me is insurance and $200/mo in gas. Also the seats fit me like a glove.

I hear ya brother. I qualify for GMS Employee Pricing so I go through cars like no tomorrow. The SS sedans were really well made, comfortable, useable, a tad on the heavy side, but surprisingly quick. Only survivor is the Charger with the Hellcat motor. Just not a Dodge guy. Although Lexus is throwing the LFA V-8 in something with 4 doors soon. I even had a 05 GTO and 2 different Pontiac G8 GT's(Never a GXP though). But the SS was awesome. Never drove any of the V-Series but always liked them. Heck, I even had 18 ZL1 and that thing was a beast. I would love to get a Cadillac Blackwing before GM goes all electric BS and no cool gas guzzlers are left.

Like the SS a lot but most of my driving is around town. I can afford the $4 gas driving just 6-7k a year.

But if sold would probably downgrade to 4 cyl turbo like a Forte GT and pocket the difference of $12k. Just easier to park, runs on regular and better if I get another dog.

Tempted but will probably just keep the SS. I’d miss the V8 buzz.
But hard to resist selling at these prices.
You’re just going to have to weigh cost of ownership versus enjoyment. Tough decision!

If you plan on selling in the next 1-3 years, I'd go ahead and sell it. I'm in a somewhat similar situation as you as I paid $15,000 for a Malibu a year ago, put 12,000 miles on it and it now books for almost $21,000. Carvana offered me $16,200. Definitely a sellers market right now

what gets me is how these used cars being bought at inflated prices are somehow being sold at even inflated-er prices. a lot of someones are WAY over paying.
