Coolant change 2012

Does anyone know if there is a specific method for changing antifreeze on these cars? The owners manual notes a "special procedure".
Thanks,
Steve

Getting all the air pockets out of the system is the reason for the 'special procedure'. You can do it manually by removing hoses on top of the engine as you fill the radiator and letting the coolant bubble up. That will get you close.

A vacuum system is the special procedure. It literally suck in the coolant and sucks out the air. With LS engines being so prone to air pocket issues, the vacuum system is the ony way we add coolant to a fresh build or change out coolant.

Thanks, appreciate the info. I suppose, it's a trip to the dealership for me.
