Sqeaky seats - Or "Does this car make my butt look big?"

Okay, I'm not a big guy. 6'4" 195lbs. But the bolsters on the right side of my drivers seat started to sqeak a couple months after I got my car and now squeak quite loudly. Does anyone else have this problem? Will warranty cover this? I got my car Nov of 2009, and my car was about the 60,000 car produced.

This is getting a little anoying. Is this the way for my car to tell me that my "assets" may be doing more expansion in my later years? If the springs on teh left hand side of my car start drooping, then I will know that my butt looks big and I need to get a truck to haul it around!

But seriously, is anyone else having this issue?

There is a knob on the dash, and a button on the steering wheel that will fix it too. The knob is labled VOLUME, and the botton is the + on the right side top.

"PUMPUP TEH VOLUME!!"

LOL

If your not doing conjoining exercises I can't see why the seat would be loose and squeaky.

Leather seats here too and no squeaks.............slightly longer than you and I've already expanded an additional 100 lbs.

I'd check with your dealer immediately on the warranty issues though. Good Luck!

I have the same problem, if i don't have the radio on it drives me crazy. And I'm only 5'10 160lbs so not big in any way. No idea how to fix it. I just crank the radio all the time.

Mine squeaks as well, and I traced it to the the belt clip on the side of the seat and not the seat it self. Greased it up and no more squeaks for a months.

Seats creak? There's a TSB for that...

#09-08-50-009A: Scraping/Moaning/Creaking Noise

from Front Seats (Apply Lubricant) - (Jun 4, 2009)

Condition
Some customers may comment about a scraping or moaning type noise coming from the front of
the front seat track area. This condition occurs when the seat assembly is being cycled into the
full forward position. Some customers may also comment about a creaking noise coming from
the driver's six-way power seat when it is in the full rearward position. This condition only
applies to six-way power seats.
Cause
This scraping or moaning condition may be caused by the seat position sensor (SPS) making
contact with seat position sensor target bracket. This contact is made in the lead in area of the
SPS. This contact area controls the function of the SPS. The drivers seat creaking condition may

be caused by the lack of lubricant in the rear of the drivers seat track assembly.

Had the problem on mine after 200 miles. Took it back to the dealer and it is no longer a problem.
