Supercharger removal and bleeding intercooler system
I am wondering if there is a easy way to bleed the intercooler system after removing and replacing the blower? I want to remove it for porting but am unaware of how to bleed the system afterwards as its a closed system. Is the only way to bring it to a GM dealer? I figured there has to be a way without adding an overflow tank or a trip to the dealer.

There's a bleeder valve with a Schrader type valve assembly.
Just watched a video on youtube about it the other day. There's probably another way too that others will chime in with |

I wish it was a Schrader valve. You have to depress the plunger assembly with a 1/4" extension through a makeshift funnel/tube or cut off Coke bottle. It works OK but it is tedious and maybe not quite adequate. The factory tool uses vacuum to pull fluid up to the bleeder orifice. An accessory reservoir works best and keeps everything bubble/void free for eternity.

The ADM or comparable reservoir system is worth its weight in gold to avoid having to burp. Lapping the hell out of the car in 90+ degree heat and nothing but smooth consistent power after I added the reservoir.

One thing I did that helped was filling the coolers before bleeding. I put one hose in a empty bottle and filled from the other side.

If ADM is still sold out, I’m sure you can get the same thing from Edelbrock. The one ADM supplied me was the Edelbrock reservoir from their supercharger package. Works like a dream and super easy install.
