Or maybe a new version with Bluetooth where I can set whatever time via my phone? I'd pay twice as much for that.

More than 10min less than 24hr. I know I'm being picky but something programmable would be nice.

We do some dash cam development at this location but not the accessories. I'll see what I can find out but you can also send a message to support to ask about that. If enough people ask it could become a thing.

Put something sturdy in the middle...

I like roundabouts as they slow traffic enough to make collisions at intersections unfortunate rather than tragic. Just need something big and solid in the middle to absorb impact energy from people that decide to mash through at full speed.

A reinforced cemented wall made of spikes that jumps out of the ground like a giant jack in the box right infront of the offending vehicle at the entrance to the roundabout when a sensor detects that the offending vehicle entering the roundabout is approaching too fast to avoid a collision!

...then a grinder appearing out of nowhere to dispose of the freshly impaled vehicle!

BTW I'm not a fan of roundabouts, grew up with them (they're all over the place in Europe), and the same people that run red lights can screw up just as easily in a roundabout, particularly the most popular dual lane kind.

I don't have specific numbers, that's true, maybe they have some statistical advantages, plus one doesn't have to stop for the most part, but it isn't a slam dunk solution.

The clip below is pretty much my sum-total experience with roundabouts up until a couple of years ago...probably how a lot of Americans think of them. Now every time I go into one I say "Look kids, Big Ben! Parliament!"

I typically dislike round abouts…although there is one that I have an affinity for, near my girlfriends house. They installed new lines, entry / exits are much more streamline, for those that are familiar with the “rules”. I like pushing my car through that rotary (when it’s safe to do so) then exiting in the opposite direction….the Recaros do their job well.

A long long time ago, I drove straight into a round about. Long story and not my fault (well kind of)… We both seriously damaged the windshield, with our heads. The car wouldn’t start and I figured it must be the inertia switch in the trunk needs to be reset (87 or 88 mustang, can’t remember now). Nope, that didn’t work. Then realized the wheels were pushed back to the floor board. I couldn’t engage the clutch switch. Anyway, not sure why I’m sharing this, other than it was kind of funny back in the day. In the end, the police sided with me, I pulled my shyster friend out of the ambulance (he had a couple splinters of glass in his head, like me, told him to suck it up) and the car was scrapped.

I believe there are more accidents with roundabouts compared to lights but the accidents are much less damaging and lift threatening.. side swipes and what not versus T bone/head on collisions/etc.. and supposedly quicker.
