How much torque can 2019 camaro ss 10 speed transmission take?
Can take 100 rwtq or above?

In what application and for what kind of longevity?
A single 1/8th mile drag race? Or 250k miles as a DD? |

Keep in mind, the SS had the 10L80 transmission while the ZL1 had the 10L90, the 10L90 is a beefier trans... I'd say the 10L90 could probably handle 1,000 rwhp, I'd probably be pretty nervous pushing the 10L80 past about 700-750 rwhp or so. If it was strong enough GM would have just dropped the 10L80 into the ZL1, which tells me they wanted much more margin with the 10L90...

Pretty sure it will handle 100 rwtq
If GM remained true to their naming conventions, the 10L80 in the SS is rated at 800 Nm (590 lb-ft), while the 10L90 in the ZL1 can handle 900 Nm (663 lb-ft). The crate version of the 10L90 (the 10L90-E) is officially rated at 715 lb-ft. I have the feeling these specs are conservative and in reality the 10Lxx can take more.

Another thing to keep in mind is torque management. If you dig into the TCM and decide to cut out a bunch of TM, your transmission will not stand up to it forever. If you’re sensible with your TCM tune, then the TM takes a lot of the brunt out of the upshifts and keeps the trans alive longer.

Honestly, you should have bought a ZL1 with the 10L90 if you were looking for that kind of power...
