Kooks Headers and Plug Wire Fitment

So I am considering a set of Kooks 1 7/8 (or possibly the 2" headers as they are about $100 cheaper) and cats for my 2017 Camaro SS.

Are there any spark plug wire fitment problems with wires contacting the headers?

I would likely get some insulating sheaths for the wires but it is always better if there is no contact.

Thanks.

Kooks 1 7/8" here with NGK 6510 plugs and MSD wires, no contact and plenty of clearance.

No issues. Stock wires and no heat boots. Working fine. Just check wiring loom under coolant tank, you might need a sleeve on it

I'm running KOOKs with stock wires and have no problem. I'd recommend the boots like Trochoidal posted; I got a set from West Coast Corvettes.

Thanks.

I installed the headers a few weeks ago. None of the stock plug wires are touching.

I made sure to wrap the wire harness under the coolant tank with head shielding and secure it away from the headers.

I run MSD wires with no boots but probably should have boots, nonetheless wires have been good for 30k miles and plenty of room.

I use the Speed Engineering 2" longer wires that they make in house. They allow you to have enough room to move them around and keep them away from the headers without using the boot shields that I have also used in the past.

Not to Hijack the post but Just installed 2" Kooks and notice that the header just touches the brake line hold clip. Anyone else have this issue and if so what did you do to resolve it (Heat shield tape)?
