Larger oil filter?

Anybody know any larger oil filters we can use for my 2017 SS. I have been usimg the wix xp but seems kind of small for a 6.2l

I mean, you could use something taller but I don't see the point myself.

A taller filter could be more vulnerable to damage since our car already sits low-ish. Not a problem on a truck.

I think a lot of guys here track with the stock PF64 oil filter without trouble.

I am currently using a PF63E. Same specifications as a PF64, but has a longer cannister than the PF64. Note that it hangs down a bit lower than the stock filter but not too low as you can see in the pictures.

However, at my next oil change I plan to change to the WIX 57502xp. Again, same specifications as the PF64 with a longer cannister, but not as long as the PF63E.

Doesnt gm recommend pf64? for an oil filter why would you want something different?

They think it's longer means more filter media and there is thus some advantage to it, it's all in your head though. They think they sounds kool at QuikTrip on a Saturday nite talking about their filter prowess.

Bigger, higher capacity oil filter won’t hurt anything but you really are not gaining anything either.
