Great eye!! Did you have similar numbers? He thought mine seemed a little low but we also think it may have been bad gas so I’m just curious. Either way he did a great job and I’m very happy with the car.

Hey R1LEY! Nice car. Question for you. I too have 45k miles on my car. I’ve been itching to do my first track day but I’m a bit nervous too because I feel like my miles are higher than other people who track their LT1 powered cars. Have you tracked your car recently I.E with > 40k miles on it? I’d feel more comfortable doing it if I found someone else that’s tracked their car with the mileage mine is at. I did extend my warranty but not sure if gm’s track warranty carries over to their extended warranty.

Yeah I actually took it to the track back in the beginning of may of this year and the car still felt great! It was a cold wet day but still a lot of fun! Side note, powerstop track day pads produce a lot of dust which you can see if you look close enough(all the “dirt” on the side of the car)
I’ve only tracked the car 3 times and I'm still on the original rotors with almost 52k miles and 3 track days. Knock on wood, but the car drives and handles exactly the same as the day I got it and I plan on tracking it more next year too. I would have no problem taking it at 45k miles as long as you inspect everything and keep up with fluid changes. |
