GT500 leaked pictures

A source present at the dealer meeting in Vegas said that the new GT500 will be between 780 to 790 HP and will offer the 10 speed automatic as an option. Ie) a manual is coming as a base.

Nice. 10AT surprises my a little, based on other things I’ve been hearing in terms of reason(s) for one of the delays.

I’d still take a ZR1 over it any day of the week and twice on Sunday, but even with its dopey catfish face, it’s still better looking than a new Camaro.

The front looks like it will suck in birds and small children.

They copied the SS with the blacked out bumper in the fascia...It should be painted the body color...lol...

This would be their big, bad straight line drag-car, correct?...Probably not much to do with competing with the 1LE or ZL1 1LE, I'm guessing....Looks like the same large tires and wheels all around similar to the Demon...

Good for Mustang....I like it.

Definitely no hiding the two huge air intake opening on the front. Other cars at least put a stylish looking grille up there.

Anyways...I'm sure it will be stupid fast and cost a decent dollar more than a ZL1.

I think everyone expects this to do decent on a track also....not solely a one trick pony. I'll be optimistic and say it might be able to hang with a ZL1 around a track...maayyyyybeee??? If it can corner OK, it will make up for it in the straights assuming it can put the power down.

On a drag strip, it will dominate the ZL1 of course.

A manual in that car, with that much power, is dumb. Why even offer it? Perhaps for the people who think a manual = race car? LOL.

This car has been in development way before the 19 Camaro was revealed.

I will take the over..

Consider the GT350R if you could find it for MSRP is around 65K, this car IMO will be at least 80K MSRP

Obviously need to see more pictures but first reaction was not a fan of that front end. I don't like the blacked out bumper. Don't like on the Camaro, don't like it on the Mustang. At least ford has the snake in the right spot lol.

Unless this thing performs at ZLE levels on twistys and decimates everything in a straight line (which I don't think it will I think it will be faster in straights than ZL1 but not as fast Demon and split the time difference between ZL1 and ZLE) I expect it to have an MSRP around 70ish. This car competes with the Hellcat and ZL1 it needs to be priced appropriately. If it is priced 20-25 higher than it's competition it better decimate it on all fields. Part of my reasoning for that, is look at the 350R when it first came out, it undercut the Z/28 by 12k MSRP. Ford knows this car needs to be priced appropriately.

now ADM is a totally different story
