One problem
I got a 2017 SS1 Camaro with 6sp manual. I love the car with the exception of 1 thing, I thought the audio system was disappointing to say the least. I had a car stereo place "beef it up" by installing a four channel amp and it sounds way better but now the turn signal indicator and especially the door chime are unpleasantly loud. Has anybody run in to this and know a solution? The car stereo place is not returning my phone calls.
Thanks Ken |

Super common problem.
Search around for MOST50 modules. Pac and NAVTV make them. That's the only real solution to upgrading audio in these vehicles (of your vintage). |

Don't know if this helps or not in your case, but there is a way to adjust the chime volume.

Yep- same car, same stereo... I feel the pains. Been grinding on this and researching it for over a month and am just really bitter about the whole thing. I didn't try what you did because I read specifically beforehand that the chimes/door dinger volume would increase along with the audio volume. Those chimes all drive me f***ing BERZERK, lol. Non-Bose people are just screwed.
I will not tolerate the louder chimes to get louder music. They're a big part of the reason I wanted to upgrade in the first place. I wish I could just eradicate them entirely. guess I'm gonna just have to bide more time and wait for someone to put out a channel processing unit that will work with the right harnesses. |

I can confirm that the PAC Audio module works in my 2018 1SS 1LE. It has the 8” screen but NO FACTORY AMP IN THE TRUNK. Not even the non-bose amp.
There’s a dipswitch on the module you will need to flip to make it work. |

Do you know how to get a hold of PAC? Every time I try I wait on hold for 15 mins or so and nobody answers the phone?
Thanks Ken |

I think that "chime adjustment" only works with the 2SS I played around with mine this weekend and couldn't find anyway to adjust it.

Don't waste your time on the factory adjustment. The only tw settings are "Loud" and "Obnoxiously Loud".

I think I would be happy with both the door chime and turn signal "clicker" completely eliminated. Has anybody done it/know how to do it?
Thanks Ken |
