Wind Deflector

Why are those deflectors so expensive??? It seems they are worth the money but man thats some serious bucks.

Are they worth the money, and wheres the best place to buy them? Do you have to take them in and out or do they stay in place while you put the top down?

I'm sure part of the cost is the material used to be able to endure the wind buffeting at highway speeds. I bought the GM wind deflector from one of the discount web sites. It does make a noticeable difference on the highway but it doesn't completely eliminate the wind and noise. Whether or not it is worth the cost is subjective but I feel like I got my money's worth. The GM deflector covers the back seat when installed so it helps keep anything you have stored in the back seat from blowing out. You can fold the deflector down and out of the way while installed. It can be left in place up or down while the top is put up or down. It comes with a storage pouch and can be folded up small enough to store in the trunk when not in use.

I haven't done any price comparisons in a few months. The last time I did, the cheapest I found was from shopchevyparts.

Just watch shipping closely as the best deal isn’t always the lowest overal cost with the chevy parts resellers.

Yes it’s worth it. The cost is what it is.

They are great...shopchevyparts.com from Jacksonville, FL. was the best price i found, $393.75 plus tax, no shipping charges.
I bought one for each of my convertibles over the years, windows up, its like you are in a cocoon, can even drive in the winter, top down, heat on!
Once they are in, they stay in place, with the top up, they fold down. Only time to remove it is if you have to use the back seat.

I think so! I'm not expecting the world but for 50$ and the fact that it shipped this morning after being ordered last night I'm excited, mainly to be able to drive with the top down year round here.

Hmmm. That looks like a $50 screen. Good luck!
That would not be for me but I am coming from BMW’s and vettes.
I mean seriously - my base 1SS vert stickers for $45K. The chevy one is under 1pct of that.

Sorry, but that looks like a hyped up window shade with straps. Good luck.
