Looking for Borla S-Type Feedback

I'm thinking about pulling the trigger on a Borla S Type axel back system for my stock 17 2 SS A8 car with the NON NPP exhaust. My main concern is noise or drone at 60-80 mph interstate cruising.
My last 2 LS powered cars had Corsa's and I liked how the were basically quite at highway speeds but sounded great at WOT. But the Corsa's price are more than I want to spend...

I have looked at several Borla sound clips, but most are at idle or full throttle. Any feedback on the Borla's would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

I can't speak on the S Type, but i have absolutely no drone with my Borla Atak. It is really quiet inside. Borla promises drone-free exhausts for the 6th gen, and from the many others who have them on, i have not heard a single complaint about drone

Some prefer the s-type over the ATAK.

No complaints with my Borla axle back s-type and no issues with drone at any speed.

Sounds great when you put your foot down.

I have s type npp on cam/arh headers car with cats The sound is amazing now. I noticed at highway speeds it is so quiet and no drone at all it’s very difficult to tell any difference in sound between tour and track mode which would make me think the non npp version would be the same as track mode and it’s very quiet at a cruise with no load on the engine

You made a great decision. RDP is great. I've got the S-Type axle back 11924, secondary cat delete x-pipe and mid pipes 60606, and Kooks LT w/offroad connection pipes 2260H410. No Drone at any cruising speed. Obnoxiously loud when you get on it.

I can’t speak for the s type but I have the full Borla long tub headers back with the ataks and don’t have any drone. If I don’t have it with that I couldn’t imagine you would love it.

Same here, the Atak is loud when you're on it and yet there's no drone cruising or at idle. I bet S-type is the same.

What order did you do the exhaust In? Or did you just do it all at one time? I am looking at the Borla mids 60606. Just for a little more sound and power. Not sure if it is worth it.

I installed the 11924 and 60606 together. Then, later on I added the headers.

I had the exact same setup and thought the same. Even w s type I was too loud when coupled with the 60606 and cat less kooks.

I called borla about it and the suggested their midpipe resonators with technically takes the car to a touring level sound.

The resonators are a two pipe one peice deal that install right before the x pipe. I installed them and was super happy about the results. She is still nasty when I step her down but way better sound levels for every day running. It actually made the tone a little deeper too.

Now my car has PRAY H/C as well. It sounds amazing.
