Trade in my V6 For 13'ZL1?

Hey guys, should I trade in my V6 for 2013 ZL1? The ZL1 is used and it's for 35k. I wanted to keep it because I worked hard to get where its at lol. But here's my own build V6 1LE. Current Mods: K&N Typhoon , Trifecta Tune, MRT v2. Later on will be adding VMAX Throttle Bodies, ZEX Nitrous & Vitesse throttle controller.

ZL1 ftw. No matter the amount of money you sink into a V6, it won't ever be a ZL1. For 35k, I'd do it in a blink.

at 35K you will be hard pressed to build a car for that much...

LSA blown engine
Buff 6l90E trans or 6 speed
Large ZL1 Diff
Magnetic suspension
Even Bigger brakes
The car comes loaded like a 2SS/RS trim leather and suede.

If i was not already this neck deep in mod's given the price of ZL1's. I would do the same. If you are the type of enthusiast that plans for spraying nitrous, dont mess around ZL1 is WAY superior to a SS let alone a V6

Also, there's a black out ZL1 2012 for 31k. Might go for that one.

Yeah if you are not satisfied with the mods to your v6 I agree. You have lots of personal touches to your car, and if your 90% satisfied after the remaining mods you mention I'd say keep your car.

You might need to do lots of de-mods to your car to get the most trade in or resale. I could imagine groups of younger people without finances wanting it, but many potential buyers, e.g. even females would not go for the race looks. You could craigslist it and be flooded with the former joyriders "man just as soon as __________ I'm buyin' this car it's badass".
I'm guessing the dealer is going to offer you a price that won't make you happy on trade in as is. That's something to consider. Do you still have the original wheels and tires so you wouldn't have to re-purchase them etc...de striping and returning to stock...

Beautiful car you have there. Since you put all that work into it - I would keep your vehicle and purchase the 13' ZL1. That way you do not lose all that money you put into the car in which technically you never get back. Unless you sold it to a buyer who was willing to meet your asking price.

I currently have a 2010 2LT/RS in which was converted to a ZL1 without the powertrain. However - I plan to keep this vehicle for cruising and purchase a 14-15 Z28 within a few years.

The ZL1 is a Automatic. I can't find a ZL1 with a manual around my area. Does it matter?

That's personal preference. Myself stick all the way. My "better half" auto all the way. It's all what you prefer.
