Is 1LE+S/C = ZL1?
Is it fair to say and Supercharged 1LE is a close comparison to ZL1 in power and handling? Does it make sense to add S/C to 1LE or just go for ZL1?

I don't know why you would supercharge a 1LE and put extra weight on it's nose, subject it to heatsoak on the track and void it's warranty.
No, it's not the same car.

Not to mention the internals of the LT4 are built for FI. Also cooling, the ZL1 has 11 heat exchangers.

If you dont care about nostalgia, heated/cooled seats, some more suede, etc. Then I think you are looking at a fairly even matchup on a track. Your 1LE will never be a ZL1 especially when you sell it.
With that said, heat soak can largely be mitigated by not using a tiny 1.7L blower. So less heat soak there, suspension is practically the same although I think the spring rates are slightly different to accommodate for the additional weight on the nose of the ZL1. Put a conservative tune it, dont spin the blower to hard and im sure you could hang with the Zl1s at the track (m6 v m6) Let the flaming begin. |

I have a friend that has a 2013 1LE and he put the supercharger on it and he puts it on the track. Not sure about the 17's. but the 13's had all zl1 parts in it already so if you no worried about the name go for it. And to the track he has came across 3 or 4 zl1's and it wasn't even close . Even the pro's there said the 1LE was better car. Now I've always said the 13 zl1 was a joke. Overpriced for what it is. The 1LE back then had zl1 fuel pump and trany. Now the 17 zl1 that's a beast in my eyes. Have one on order. Gm did a great job this time around.

Power would be similar. Handling would be similar.
ZL1 suspension is tuned for the added weight. There is your answer.
