Racing seats and air bags

Has anyone put racing seats in yet? I want to put a set in my 17 1LE. The factory Recaros just don't cut it on track. I can trick the SRS module into thinking the seat bags are still there but I don't know what to do with the occupancy sensor in the passenger seat. I don't like to do permanent damage to a vehicle when modifying it, so i'm not ripping it out of the factory seat, nor do I want to spend $1000 on one from the dealer. Any thoughts?

I think you're the first person on Earth to say that. These Recaro's are really great at holding all sorts of body types at the track. What height & weight are you?

As for racing shells, there's no good reason to want the remaining airbags active, since you'll be running 6-points w/HANS anyway, right?

I’d have to agree that, while the stock seats are good, a racing bucket would be far better on track.

From what I have heard, you can remove the passenger seat for any length of time and key cycles with a air bag light. When the seat is reinstalled air bag light goes away. BTW, how are you fooling the SRS module . I am pulling my passenger seat out for a trip to the drag strip. Do not know about the drivers seat.
